CCR’s Security team has received reports of cybercriminals hacking Fortinet firewalls, a popular hardware appliance utilized by 300,000 plus businesses and not-for-profit organizations. This notification affects Fortinet units with firmware revision 7.2.5 or before.

CCR’s Security Team strongly recommends you check your firewall to insure it has the latest updates and patches to guard against this most recent hacking event.  If you are in doubt, contact the CCR helpdesk to assist you with this endeavor.
